SEPTEMBER 2009 MEETING For our September meeting, we had a picnic at Billie McCormick’s house. We had a beautiful day with perfect weather. It was so relaxing to sit and relax on Billie’s deck, eat and visit with each other. We did get some business done, but the emphasis was on good food and even better, good companionship. All of the covered dishes the members brought were delicious and the hospitality committee supplied the scrumptious desserts. As you can see from the pictures we had a great time! |

The slide show she presented familiarized the group with many of the beautiful wildflowers we’ve seen, but didn’t know much about. She told us many interesting facts and stories that make all of us appreciate nature all the more. In the future, many of us will look at the wildflowers around us in a different way. MARCH 2009 MEETING The club enjoyed an interesting program on Herbs presented by Donna Marie Oster at the March meeting. We learned about different herbs, where to plant them, how to grow them, how to cook and store them.
