December 2009
Odell December gathering was at Norma Curtis' home. The weather was cold but clear.
We had a great turn out of 27 ladies. We were lucky to have past president Jenny Vann, Cheryl and Leah Wilson in attendance. Mt. Hood District Treasurer Trish Paige and her sister Jan Potter were there.
We all joined hands as Verna Martin lead us in "Grace". We had a very delicious luncheon with a wide variety of dishes and desserts.
We had a cute skit put on by Odell Garden Club officers. It was called Dr. Pepper. Norma Curtis was the Nurse. Betty Draper, Jackie Shaw, Pam Lago, past officers Annie Simonds and Naomi Frisbie were the patients. Everyone loved the skit and we had some good laughs.
We did have a brief meeting. Pam Lago Recycle Chairman explained the Aveda Company promotion to recycle bottle caps to keep them out of the landfills. We had sign up for flower arranging for Heart of Hospice. Heart of Hospice has asked all to attend an Appreciation party on December 15th, 2009 from 5 - 7pm at their office.
Announcements: January 12, 2010 at 10:00 we will have a planning session for the Hood River County Fair, flower show schedule and a later meeting time of 1:00 for our business and program. (Weather permiting).
