Our club was founded in 1950 and is a member of the MT. Hood District in the Oregon State Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc.
We are a very diverse group of gardeners. We are very active in the community. We do flowers for weddings, funerals, illness and class reunions. We are a very friendly and receptive group, visitors and new members are received with a smile and a welcome.
Special projects:
- We make bud vases for the residence's rooms and bouquets for the dining room for the Hood River Care Center in celebration of Mother's Day.
- Odell Garden Club chairs the Flower show annually at the Hood River Country Fair.
- We have a two day flower show every year for the Harvest Fest the third weekend in October.
- Every Friday morning two of our members arrange flowers for "Heart of Hospice" to be delivered to their patients. We started in May of 2008.
- Every November we host a Wreath Making event for Mt. Hood District and the public.
