We believe in giving back to our community by volunteer involvement in various club projects which include:
The Jenkins Estate is listed on the National Historic Registry and is an Aloha, Oregon, landmark located on the northwest slope of Cooper Mountain overlooking the Tualatin Valley. Aloha Garden Club volunteers maintain the estate's herb garden.
The Aloha Garden Club yearly plant sale funds our grant and scholarship program. This benefits Washington County non-profits and college students in horticultural, environmental and landscaping studies.
The Garden conservancy is a national non-profit organization with a mission to preserve exceptional American gardens for the public's education and enjoyment. The Conservancy works to deepen the public appreciation of gardens as an important part of our national artistic and cultural heritage.
The Open Days Program is a series of tours of over 400 of America's best private gardens. Each summer, gardeners from around the country are invited by the Garden Conservancy Regional Representatives to open their gardens on a scheduled date in their area. The Aloha Garden Club representative organizes and oversees tours within the Tri-County area. Aloha Garden Club members make themselves available to support and assist this important program on tour days by selling tickets, directing visitors and assisting the garden host in answering questions about the garden.
