In 1996, Bryan and Carolyn Thomlison set up a not-for-profit community-development organization: Our Community Works, Inc. OCW's goal is to get large national corporations to provide resources for the benefit of community-focused not-for-profit organizations. The Garden Central free website project is one of several community-development initiatives created by OCW.
