Purpose The purpose of this Club shall be to stimulate knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs; to aid in the protection of native trees, plants, birds, and the environment; and to encourage civic plantings to enhance the community. The focus shall be education and shall be developed through meetings, projects, programs and conferences.
Flower Crepe Myrtle The crepe myrtle belongs to the family, Lythraceae. It is classified as Lagerstromia indica. Native to China, it is widely cultivated in the southern United States for its showy white to red or lavender flowers, which grow in clusters.
Collect Father of all Loveliness, teach us to understand the Joy of Color, the Harmony of Form, the Beauty of Proportion, to know the real in Art and Nature; To be content with what we have, but not satisfied until our homes reflect the best in ourselves; To appreciate the simple joys of acquiring and possessing, and make our homes and cities a joyous place in which to live.
