MARYLAND GARDEN CLUBS
 CLUBS

TASKER'S CHANCE GARDEN CLUB

 WELCOME

Federated in 1949

Our purpose, as stated in our by-laws, is

“To stimulate among members a love of gardening,
to encourage the protection of native plants and
birds and to participate in correlated civic and
       educational projects.”

We have meetings on the second Monday of each month except August.  Our annual luncheon is held in September and our annual club picnic is held in June or July.  We pay dues annually (currently $40 for active members).  Our November and December meetings are devoted to our biggest fundraiser, The Greens Sale, where we create and decorate boxwoods trees.  We also hold a plant sale in May.

Members are expected to attend all meetings and participate in club projects.  If unable to attend a meeting, the member must contact the hostess prior ( 10 days) to the meeting.

Members will host a meeting about once every 3 years.  Meetings are usually held in members’ homes or in another setting depending on the program.  Traditionally, the meeting is a luncheon meeting and may be hosted by one or more members.

We have many different committees and opportunities for members to participate in club activities.
