Did you know... You do not have to know a lot about flowers and plants to join a garden club. You learn as you "grow". If you like working in the garden, having inside plants, like butterflies, birds, anything in nature--then join a garden club. You will be surprised at how much fun you can add to your gardening experiences as you share the success and mistakes made by other gardeners. Many garden clubs do not belong to a District. There are many advantages of being a member of the State Garden Clubs. You attend district meetings and not only meet with other garden club members, but each one brings new ideas for you to entertain in your own club. You have many opportunities to participate in various activities throughout the state. You have knowledgeable contacts in the event you need help with a project. It is fun! If you are interested in attending a meeting, or finding out more about our club, contact Secretary Dorothy Barborek at (217) 868-5159 send Dorothy an e-mail.
