Current Discussion Topics In recent months Lake Bluff Garden Club has welcomed several new members. They are already hard at work on garden club events. Our programs and projects are varied, sure to offer something that will appeal to you. To learn more about what we do or find out how to join, contact Membership Chairman Nan at E-mail npatterson1@aol.com. Meanwhile the club will be supporting several National Garden Club projects for the 2009-2011 Administration. “Plant It Pink” continues National Garden Club’s partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation to support breast cancer awareness and research. Planting pink flowers in public and private gardens will hopefully be a floral reminder of what we must do to recognize and eventually end cancer. Establishment of community gardens in unsightly areas is a part of our “Beautify Blight” drive, and “Ribbons of Gold” is an ambitious effort to bring our communities alive with thousands of daffodils drifting across our landscape. Daun, a Lake Bluff Garden Club member, has been appointed state chairman for President’s Projects
