In the Beginning…
The Town and Country Garden Club of Eatonton was organized and federated in September 1954. There were 55 charter members. One of those members (Myrtle) still attends meetings. The club celebrated its 50th year anniversary in 2004.
Today…
We have 30 active members, 6 associate members and 3 honorary members.
Our objectives are three-fold:
- the cultural and civic betterment of the community
- to create an interest in gardening
- to promote environmental awareness
