Organized in 1940, when it was affiliated with National Garden Clubs, Inc., Greensboro Garden Club (GGC) is now a member of Garden Clubs of Georgia, Azalea District. National Garden Club is dedicated to conservation of our natural resources and preservation of our environment through the education of members and the community.

In 1944 Greensboro Garden Club designed and continues to maintain a Memorial Garden dedicated to the Armed Forces of America. The Courtyard Garden at the Greene County Library was renovated by the club in 1997 and is an ongoing project. GGC works with the Better Home Town Program and the Chamber of Commerce to beautify the city of Greensboro. A project with students in Greene County schools, in which students were taught to plant and care for a garden, was successfully completed. In addition, each year on Arbor Day GGC holds a tree planting ceremony in the city of Greensboro. There are many other projects and activities that are ongoing.

The club meets the fourth Monday of each month from September through May at 10 A.M.  For further information, please contact us and we will get back to you.
