OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Garden Club of South Carolina, Inc.,
a non-profit organization,
is a force for good that promotes all aspects
of gardening,
focusing on preservation and restoration
of historic gardens,
conservation and environmental protection
of natural resources,
education of members and youth organizations,
civic beautification, horticulture and floral design.
Purpose and Description
To promote the love of gardening;
To promote and protect the growth of native trees,
wildflowers and birds;
To encourage public and civic beautification;
To establish roadside memorials honoring those serving
in the military and veterans, living and dead;
To offer a scholarship program to college students
furthering the objectives;
To promote the study of gardening, landscape design,
flower design, horticulture and environmental concerns
through schools, programs, and flower shows;
To encourage the love of all phases of garden club work among youth and seniors;
To provide garden therapy and services to special groups.
