About Hitomi Gilliam, AIFD

A gold-medal-winning designer and holder of the AIFD "Design Influence" Award, as well as being a renowned author and lecturer, Hitomi is a familiar figure in floral circles in her native Canada, the US, Mexico, Britain, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

With her unique cultural perspective and innate talent, Japanese-Canadian floral artist Hitomi Gilliam has become over the past couple of decades one of the world's most respected creators and teachers of the true art of flower arranging.  She’s one of the only five winners of the coveted Design Influence Award from the American Institute of Floral Designers.
