Dear Garden Club Member,

          As we start the new year, your board has some exciting new programs for you.  The traditional Fall Plant and Craft Sale will again be held in November.   Plan now for your circle to enter this event with a table that will exhibit you skills and interest and to participate in the planning process.

          We will again have a new educational  school. Digging It, a series of horticulture programs to expand your interest, will start in September.  This along with the Floral Design School of last year, will prepare you to enter the spring Flower Show.  We plan to have a plant sale along with the Flower Show this year.

          Working to reverse the falling trend of general meeting attendance, we have outstanding speakers for you this year and hopefully you will take advantage of these programs. At each meeting, there will be special mini-programs for you -- Horticulture Tips, new floral design examples, and tips on energy savings and “Green” options. 

          We encourage all circles to send representatives to the planning stages of all club functions.

          And finally, let’s have an exciting and prosperous year in 2009-2010.
