Our tea table arrangement was done by Lise Baklid
 It was a pave arrangement of roses.
The pedestal arrangement was done by Carolyn Basler. A black designer vase was used, with 2 gourds attached to the form and painted black to match. The design was a “multi-rhythmic” creative design. The flowers used were yellow “Justiscia” We had a really large turnout this month with many guests and prospective members attending. President Barbara Horan led the meeting
New members introduced were Mary Cadigan-Jones and Nancy Cavnar, shown with membership chair, Carolyn Buonomo (center).
Always ready to provide a laugh, Sheila Thomas had a unique way to remind us about the Treasure/Rummage sale in March. She wants donations from members, but NO CLOTHES. So she arrived in a suit, wearing NO CLOTHES. A variety of Bromeliads Our Speaker was Jeff Hutchison, who raises bromeliads at his greenhouse in West Palm Beach.

He and his partner Joe Libertucci, President of the Boca Raton Bromeliad Society – brought “The Jeff and Joe Show” to the club with a variety of bromeliads to show and explain to us. For additional information on Bromeliads, see the Horticulture web page from April 22, 2009 Many varieties were discussed and were for sale after the meeting.
November 3, 2009 General Membership Meeting
Our Speaker was Gene Joyner owner of West Palm Beach “Unbelievable Acres” botanical garden. He presented a slide show of flowering trees, or “color in the sky”.
Our tea table arrangement was done by Marianne Goodgion. She used fall mums in a straw basket, accented by woven wheat done by her mother, and a turkey figurine for the season.
The pedestal arrangement was done by Evelyn Somerville. She also used Mums in her arrangement, done in a large piece of driftwood.
Evelyn Somerville presented Betsy Pickup with a certificate designating her garden as a Butterfly Sanctuary.
October 6, 2009
Our first meeting of the season was a preview of events to come during our 2009-2010 season. Chairmen of the various committees presented their programs for the coming year. A wine reception for the members was hosted by President Barbara Horan after the business meeting.  We had a great turnout for our first meeting of the year.
 Barbara Horan, president, introduced the chairmen of the various committees, who informed us of upcoming events.
 Refreshments (and wine) were served on the tea table.
 Barbara Benefield did a colorful fall centerpiece in a pumpkin for the tea table.
 Dorothy Trickey did her beautiful arrangement for the pedestal.
 Janine Savitch provided an assortment of beautiful raffle prizes.
