HOLIDAY HOUSE AT THE BOCA RATON GARDEN CLUB NOVEMBER 9-10, 2007 The Holiday House concept has been a part of the Garden Club in some form ever since the club was organized in 1953. This year Chairman Janine Savitch staged the sale as a boutique with the lavishly decorated lighted trees in one area, the wreaths and swags hanging in another, the palm frond angels, Clusia roses, palm frond & paper angels, and many other crafted items displayed on tables.
There were outstanding Raffle Prizes, lighted bricks, mini trees – all on display and a gourmet Bake Sale. Set-up for the sale started on Wednesday, November 7th. Many members swarmed around like little elves, putting on tablecloths, pinning corners, bringing items out of storage spaces, finishing pricing, and tying the last bows. By Thursday noon everything was ready for special early customers. (Click photos to enlarge) Carol Rice & Janine Savitch setting up the Raffle Table with the friendly tiger.
