In honor of Armed Forces Day, Pawling Garden Club members June Schlesinger, Dawn Hardwick, Jo-Ann Adorno, Virginia Flood, Sue Meldrum and Beverly MacKenzie (not shown) delivered geraniums to 34 Pawling families with loved ones serving on active duty in the military. Each geranium is accompanied by a note saying:  "On this Armed Forces Day, the Pawling Garden Club wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for the dedication and contribution your family member has put forth in the armed services in order to ensure our freedom and liberty. On behalf of the community of Pawling, we thank you."  The presentation of red geraniums is a part of the "Let Freedom Ring" program initiated by the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State.
