Ballston Spa House and Garden Club Plans Third Annual Patriotic Tree Planting The Ballston Spa House and Garden Club will hold the third Annual Patriotic Tree Planting at the American Legion Post #234, 23 Pleasant Street in Ballston Spa at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009. This project is part of a nation-wide effort of the National Federation of Garden Clubs to honor all those in military or civilian service, past and present, whose sacrifices enable all to enjoy the freedom, security and opportunities our society offers. The ceremony will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. Local resident, Tara Ellsworth will sing "God Bless the USA". The tree, generously donated by Brookside Landscaping of Ballston Spa, will be planted by members of the American Legion. A short reception with light refreshments will immediately follow the ceremony. The public is welcome.
