Membership Responsibilities |
Bloomfield Garden Club is a social and service organization. Because we are committed to many programs and projects, attendance at business meetings and participation in projects is expected of all members.
Each member serves on the hostess committee for one meeting a year and participates in the annual plant sale. Members also choose one Holiday project (decorating Thompson Health Systems, the Historical Society Academy building, or village wreaths) and two project committees (Geranium Day, Pickle Park, Plant Sale, Academy Herb Garden, Library Garden, Youth Projects, or Yearbook) or standing committees to work on throughout the year. For those members who find physical work difficult, we can always find a project for you.
A prospective member shall attend two Garden Club meetings to become familiar with the club. A letter requesting membership is then presented to the Membership Chairman, who will then introduce the new member to the club at the following meeting.
Annual dues are $15.00 for active members. Upon payment of dues, a copy of the Constitution and by-laws will be given to the member.
Membership in the Bloomfield Garden Club is enjoyable. We have a good time and welcome new members.
