Motto: We must take care of the beautiful for the useful can take care of itself.

Happy 2010 to gardeners everywhere! In Centralia Flower & Garden Club we have many new plans for the year. After celebrating with a spectacular Christmas Luncheon and party in December 2009, we are ready for new challenges.
This year, we have new projects. With the passing of our last remaining charter member, Winnie Fadler, a large collection from the public is going to ensure a beautiful landscape memorial in the Centralia Cemetery. Members are working on the plans and will secure approval from the city soon and work will begin.
We are actively planting daffodils everywhere we can for the National Garden Clubs, Inc. projects, "Golden Days" and "Planting it Pink". We are going to do landscaping for the first time in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity in Centralia. Plans will be drawn up and submitted to FGCM for additional funding.
At each meeting we are continuing our studies of the Missouri Wildflower Resolution to help in preserving the rare, endangered and watch list plants. This is part of our theme. We are adding a monthly study of Flower Design, according to the Handbook for Flower Shows, we continue to beautify the City Square of Centralia as well as a garden area on Highway 22, we will have our annual member garden tour, plant sale, anniversary luncheon and are working with a group of students at the middle school who wanted to establish landscape gardens at the school with our help.
This year we are having several workshops at our meetings which will promote not only gardening, but working together as a group of friends. It's going to be a GREAT YEAR! Visit our website to see photos of some of our activities.
