Welcome To The Wildflower Garden Club Anchorage, Alaska  Community Projects   Alaska Botanical Garden Wildflower Trail:  Each spring, club members renovate the Wildflower trail at ABG. Children’s Marigold Giveaway:  Children are invited to transplant a marigold seedling at the Annual Sears Mall Spring Garden Show.  Members provide the seedlings and expertise. Annual WGC Plant Sale:  Winter-hardy and hard-to-find plants, locally grown by club members, are available to the public.  Funds raised are used to achieve the club’s stated objectives.   For information on this year’s sale, see Upcoming Events. Alaska State Fair Junior Giant Zucchini Contest:  Each year, the Club sponsors a Zucchini contest for children ages 6–12 and 13-17.  Prizes are awarded to those entries with the heaviest weights.  For this year’s entry dates, see Upcoming Events. Flower Show Judge Training School:  Up to four (4) members are sponsored as participants in this ongoing training program. WGC Scholarship:  One or more scholarships are awarded annually to graduating high school or returning college students pursuing a career in a plant-related field of study.  For information or to download an application, click here.
